The Khadija Foundation has initiated two major projects thus far. The first project is Khadija Centre based in Mikapuni, Rabai Village, a rural area near Mombasa, a small multi-cultural island off the Coast of Kenya. It covers approximately five acres and comprises a school complex, medical clinic, and staff accomodation buildings. The second project is based in Sukuta village in Gambia. This project is currently focused on Education needs.

The Khadija Centre in Kenya was started in 2003, at the initiative of a benevolent contributor from Mombasa, focusing on the educational and health needs of poor children in the area. It is sponsored through private donations. Its goal is to host and educate the children, and assist them through their childhood and teenagehood. Khadija Centre is a non-profit organization and its staff is based in Kenya.
